European Welding Federation (EWF)
The European Welding Federation (EWF) — also known as the European Federation for Welding, Joining and Cutting — is an international association dedicated to advancing welding technology, professional training, and certification across Europe.
EWF works with national welding organizations, industry partners, research institutions, and training centers to promote technical excellence and support workforce development in welding and materials joining.
European Collaboration in Welding and Joining Technology
Established in 1992, the European Federation for Welding, Joining and Cutting brings together national welding organizations representing countries across the European Union and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA).
Through collaboration between member organizations, EWF helps standardize welding education, certification programs, and technical qualification systems throughout Europe.
The federation also supports international cooperation in welding research, professional training, and industry best practices. Observer organization status is available to institutions outside of the EU and EFTA regions.
