Weight Capacity
Q: My machine is rated for 250 lb. Why is the vertical capacity lower?
A: Vertical capacity is lower because the load applies direct downward force on the bearings. Most applications are designed to run in the horizontal position, where the load is better supported.

Q: Where are these machines made?
A: China.
Warranty
Q: What is the warranty?
A: 1-year warranty.
Grounding the Positioner
Q: How do you properly ground the positioner?
A: The machine uses a spring-loaded brass pin or block that contacts the backside of the turntable.
If the contact surface is oily, dirty, or rusty, you will not get a proper ground, which can cause performance issues or failure.
Arc-Zone recommends lightly cleaning or roughing the surface with emery cloth to ensure solid electrical contact.
Foot Control
Q: Does the AUT-PT-100B include a foot control?
A: Yes. The machine includes an on/off foot control.
Through-Hole Size
Q: Does the welding positioner have a through-hole?
A: Yes. The through-hole size is 1-1/8".
Initial Setup Questions
Q: The oil cap says “remove pin,” but there is no pin. Why?
A: The manufacturer removes the lock pin before the unit leaves the factory. No action is required.
Troubleshooting: Emergency Stop
Q: The emergency stop switch is inconsistent.
A: The switch may have debris inside or may need replacement. If the issue continues, Arc-Zone can provide a replacement switch.
