Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need different tungsten for AC and DC welding?
No. ArcTime™ is designed to perform across both AC and DC applications, eliminating the need to switch electrodes.
How does this compare to thoriated tungsten?
ArcTime™ provides similar or better arc performance without the health risks associated with radioactive materials.
What materials can I weld with this tungsten?
It works well on aluminum, stainless steel, and a wide range of alloys.
Why does tungsten quality matter?
Higher-quality tungsten improves arc stability, reduces contamination, and leads to better overall weld quality.

AC DC whatever your poison this tungsten has you…
AC, DC, whatever your poison, this tungsten has you covered. I've probably used 40 sticks of it over the past couple years and I'm always disappointed when I run out and have to jump back to thoiated or lanthanated. Holds a point really well, is more tolerant of short post flow without really bad oxidation, never splits or cracks. Try it. You won't go back.

Out of all the Tri Mix/Hybrid type of tungstens…
Out of all the Tri Mix/Hybrid type of tungstens out there, these are some really good ones. I haven't tried the CK Layzr ones yet so I'm not sure how they would compare. But as for these i really like them. The DC arc is really nice and crisp, but on DC what electrode isn't... AC is where you really look for differences. My go to electrode is a CK 2% Lanthanated. I have to say that these ArcTime ones are right on par with the 2% Lanthanated for sure. I've only been using these for a little while now so i can't really give a long term review. As for a short term review though, I can say these are going to be great. If your thinking about buying some....do it.
