Lightning MTS 225
The Lightning MTS 225, part of the heavy-duty MIG/TIG/Stick series, features AC/DC TIG welding capability and introduces the new "Power Set" function for all three welding modes. This 225A unit excels in performance, offering auto-set parameters that adjust amps and volts (where applicable) for MIG, TIG, and Stick welding. The new design allows easy viewing and adjustment of settings, reducing the need for excessive scrolling.
In addition, the Lightning MTS 225 includes a Flux-Core mode for self-shielding wire and is capable of operating on 120V, though with reduced output. At full power, the unit offers a 35% duty cycle for TIG, 60% for Stick at 160A, and 25% at 225A for MIG. When welding at 200A, the MIG duty cycle is 35%, suitable for materials up to 1/4" thick.
For enhanced portability, the Lightning MTS 225 can be paired with the PowerCart 250 and PowerCool W300 for a stacked setup, and water-cooled torch options are available when using the cooler.

Notes:
Minimum generator surge Wattage needed for maximum output on 240V: 9000 W
Minimum generator surge Wattage needed for maximum output on 120V: 4500 W
NOTE: Use only with a generator rated by its manufacturer as "clean power" if using with a generator. Consult manufacturer of generator for certification. Everlast does not approve or endorse generator brands or models, however, if the damage to the welder occuring from use with a generator not labeled as producing clean power by its manufacturer is not warrantable. Typically clean power is represented as less than 5% THD.
