PowerArc 161STH

The PowerARC 161STH is a compact, versatile DC stick and TIG welder offering the features you need without unnecessary complexity. It improves on the popular PowerARC 160STH with upgraded performance for both stick and TIG welding.

Key enhancements include 6010/Cellulose capability for pipeline and repair work, VRD for safety, and adjustable arc force and hot start for tailored stick welding.

For TIG, the unit offers HF start, Lift start, Live Lift for touch-free operation, preflow and downslope controls, 2T/4T switch operation, and an easy-to-use pulse function with adjustable frequency.

Notes:

1) Use only with generators that are certified as clean power (5% or less total harmonic distortion) by the generator manufacturer. Use with at least 3500 watt generator for 120V use, and a 6500 watt generator for 240V use. Damage to units caused by underrated, or "dirty" power generators is not covered under warranty.

2) This unit is DC output only in TIG and stick modes. It is not designed to weld Aluminum in TIG mode. In stick mode, it can be used to weld aluminum with special flux covered electrodes designed for aluminum welding.

3) This unit is suitable for E6010 electrodes and E6011. Use the E6010 setting for both.

4) Foot Pedal optional. Any Everlast non-MTS 22k ohm pedals will fit except NOVA.

6) Because this is a basic entry level unit, to accurately adjust maximum TIG amps, the adjustment to amperage must be made before the pedal is plugged in. Adjustment can be made, but will not reflect in digital display.
