TIG Setup Requirements
To use the PowerARC 210STL in TIG mode, the following optional equipment is required:
- Compatible TIG torch with torch switch or remote connection
- Compatible 22k-ohm foot pedal, if remote amperage control is desired
- Argon regulator and gas hose
- Tungsten electrodes and TIG torch consumables
- Shielding gas
DC TIG Limitations
- This machine does not provide AC TIG output.
- It is not designed for TIG welding aluminum or magnesium.
- Aluminum may be welded in Stick mode using suitable flux-coated aluminum electrodes.
Generator Requirements
- Use only generators certified by the manufacturer as producing clean power
- Total harmonic distortion should be less than 5%
- For 120V Operation: Minimum recommended generator capacity is approximately 4,500 surge watts
- For 240V Operation: Minimum recommended generator capacity is approximately 8,900 surge watts
Maximum output is reduced when operating on 120V power. Damage caused by an undersized generator or one that does not produce clean power may not be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
