Cordless Sharpie DXCL™ Tungsten Grinder
Get perfect tungsten every time—fast, consistent, and ready for clean arc starts.
The Sharpie DXCL™ tungsten electrode grinder delivers precise, repeatable tungsten prep for better arc starts, improved puddle control, and higher-quality welds. With an adjustable grind angle from 15° -to- 45°, it is built for virtually any TIG welding application in the shop or in the field.
The double-sided diamond wheel easily grinds tungsten electrode sizes, .040" (1.0mm) (collet sold separately), 1/16" (1.6mm), 3/32" (2.4mm), and 1/8" (3.2mm).
We suggest using our Heavy-Duty wheel for continuous grinding of 1/8" (3.2mm) tungsten.

Key Features
1. Precise Diamond Ground Taper:
Sharpie grinders deliver a quick and consistent adjustable grind angle from 15° -to- 45° for snappy arc starts, better puddle control, and improved weld quality. The double-sided diamond wheel easily grinds tungsten electrode sizes .040" (collet sold separately), 1/16", 3/32", and 1/8" (1.0mm, 1.6mm, 2.4mm, and 3.2mm).
2. Tip Flat Option:
Tungsten electrodes ground to a sharp point are proven to burn off and cause inclusions in your weld. By removing the point and adding a tip flat, you get better arc starts, longer electrode tip life, and reduced weld contamination.
3. Cut-Off/Score Option:
The built-in cut-off or scoring option allows you to cut and remove only contaminated portions of the electrode. No more bending or breaking electrodes, which can cause splintering of the tungsten and reduce electrode performance.
Safe & Easy To Use:
Set your machine up for the job at hand and grind electrodes in the shop or in the field. The enclosed grinding wheel helps eliminate safety issues common with side or wheel grinders that can grab the electrode and shoot it back at the operator.
Save Time & Money:
Diamond ground electrodes reduce tungsten consumption and waste. Stop wearing out belts on your sander and grinding deep grooves in your bench grinder wheels. Your shop will be cleaner, safer, and more productive. The reversible long-life diamond wheel means low replacement part costs.
Weld Like A Pro Tip™:
Frequently re-grinding worn electrode tips improves weld quality and lowers tungsten usage. Waiting until the tip is completely eroded or contaminated requires grinding off more tungsten material, resulting in higher tungsten usage and costing you time and money.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to buy a grinding wheel separately?
No. The Sharpie DXCL™ includes a double-sided diamond grinding wheel, battery, charger, and standard collets for 1/16", 3/32", and 1/8" tungsten.
What tungsten sizes can this grinder handle?
It handles .040" (with optional collet), 1/16", 3/32", and 1/8" tungsten electrodes.
Why use a dedicated tungsten grinder instead of hand grinding?
A dedicated grinder helps produce more consistent tungsten prep, better arc starts, improved puddle control, and lower risk of weld contamination.
Can I use this in the field?
Yes. The cordless Milwaukee M12 platform makes the Sharpie DXCL™ a great option for both shop and field use.

Took a little time to get the adjustment correct. At first the finish on tungsten was rough. I figure out the diamond cutting blade was set to high. Now I have it dialed in. The Sharpie makes sharpening a breeze, with a smooth finish. If the tungsten finish isn’t coming out smooth. Make sure to make adjustments at the Diamond wheel at the arbor. My Diamond wheel had to be set closer to the motor. I highly Recommend the Sharpie.

The 1/16th" collet is too large for a 1/16th electrode to achieve consistant repeatable tungsten angles. I have not tried any of the other collets as of now.

I absolutely love it. Works great and does a very good job in all aspects of the tool. The only thing I wish it had was markings so you know the angle of the tungsten grind. Other than that it has performed flawlessly and is a great product.
