Everlast RedSabre 2000 – 2000-Watt Air-Cooled Handheld Fiber Laser Welder, Cutter & Cleaner

Portable laser welding, cutting, and surface cleaning without a bulky water-cooling system.
The Everlast RedSabre 2000 is a compact 2000-watt fiber laser system designed for manual welding, cutting, and rust or paint removal. Its air-cooled design eliminates the need for the large water-cooling systems commonly used with lasers in this output range, helping reduce overall size and weight for easier movement around the shop.

Designed for 240V single-phase power, the RedSabre 2000 includes a handheld laser gun, detachable touchscreen controls, synchronized wire feeder, process nozzles, lenses, and starter consumables. Depending on the process, the operator supplies compatible filler wire, shielding gas, or compressed air.

For manual operation only. This system is not intended for automated, robotic, CNC, or computer-controlled applications.

Why Shops Choose the RedSabre 2000

  • Three Processes in One: Weld, cut, and remove rust or paint with one system.
  • Air-Cooled Design: Avoids the bulk and weight of a traditional external water-cooling system.
  • Portable Industrial Platform: A compact 135 lb. design makes repositioning easier than many comparable laser systems.
  • Extended Operation: Listed for a 100% duty cycle for up to six hours at maximum output.
  • Wire-Fed or Autogenous Welding: Weld with filler wire or directly fuse properly fitted base materials.
  • Complete Manual Package: Includes the handheld gun, synchronized wire feeder, lenses, nozzles, and starter consumables.

Laser Welding Capability

The RedSabre 2000 supports both filler-wire and autogenous welding. The included synchronized wire feeder can add MIG-style filler wire when the application requires gap bridging, added reinforcement, or a larger weld profile.

When joint fit-up and application requirements allow, the system can also produce autogenous welds by directly fusing the base materials without added filler metal.

Laser Cutting Capability

The included cutting nozzles and optics allow the RedSabre 2000 to cut compatible metals using compressed air or Nitrogen. Cutting capacity depends on material type, thickness, surface condition, focal setup, and operating parameters.

Laser Cleaning & Descaling

With the included cleaning attachments, the system can remove rust, paint, coatings, and surface contamination. This makes it useful for weld preparation, maintenance, restoration, and cleaning metal before refinishing.

Ideal Applications

  • Commercial fabrication
  • Light-to-medium production welding
  • Sheet-metal fabrication
  • Stainless-steel fabrication
  • Aluminum fabrication
  • Automotive and motorsports work
  • Industrial maintenance
  • Metal cutting
  • Rust and paint removal
  • Weld preparation
  • Repair and surface restoration

Recommended Materials

The supplied product information lists this system for all material types. Confirm suitability for the specific alloy, thickness, joint design, and process before operation.

Electrical & Facility Preparation

Before purchase, confirm that the facility has suitable 240V single-phase electrical service, grounding, circuit protection, ventilation, shielding-gas supply, compressed-air capacity, and a controlled laser work area.

Electrical installation and final connections should be completed by qualified personnel according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Important Laser Safety Requirements

The RedSabre 2000 is a Class 4 industrial laser system. Class 4 lasers can cause serious eye injury, skin injury, fires, and exposure hazards from direct or reflected laser energy.

  • Operators must complete appropriate laser-safety training before use
  • A controlled laser work area and suitable shielding are required
  • Use only eye and face protection rated for the listed 1080nm wavelength
  • Standard welding helmets and cutting shades are not substitutes for properly rated laser protection
  • Nearby workers and visitors must be protected from direct and reflected laser energy
  • Commercial facilities may need a trained Laser Safety Officer
  • Additional employee and operator training may be required
  • Combustible materials, fumes, and fire hazards must be controlled
  • Follow all manufacturer installation, operation, inspection, and maintenance instructions

The included laser safety goggles are only one part of a complete laser-safety program. They do not replace shielding, access controls, training, engineering controls, or other required protective equipment.

Regulatory & Insurance Considerations

  1. Laser operation in the United States may be subject to FDA requirements and applicable OSHA and ANSI standards.
  2. State or local registration, permitting, or reporting requirements may apply.
  3. Contact the appropriate state and local authorities before purchase to identify applicable requirements.
  4. Commercial users may need a qualified Laser Safety Officer and documented employee training.
  5. Independent laser-safety providers can provide operator and Laser Safety Officer training.
  6. Confirm insurance coverage for Class 4 laser operation before installing the system.
