Get Grounded with Arc-Zone's Shorty™ Work Cable Kits – Built for Welding Pros Who Demand More.
Knowing how to ground your welding machine correctly is critical for arc stability, weld consistency, and equipment protection. Quality work leads and ground cable assemblies reduce resistance, minimize heat buildup, and help your machine deliver full output.
At Arc-Zone.com®, we offer professional-grade welding machine accessories designed to improve electrical performance and increase flexibility at the workpiece. A key solution in this category is the Arc-Zone Shorty™ Work Lead / Ground Cable System.
Arc-Zone Shorty™ work cable kits
Shorty™ Work Cable Kits are designed for welding machines up to 500 amps and built to deliver maximum conductivity with long-term durability. These systems allow welders to quickly switch between multiple ground clamp styles without changing the main machine cable.
Each Shorty™ system uses a 20 ft (6.1 m) UltraFlex welding cable terminated with an LC-40 male DINSE connector on the machine side and a female LC-40 twist-lock connector on the work side. This design allows fast connection to interchangeable 5 ft (1.5 m) Shorty™ whip leads with different ground clamps.
Customizable Connection Options:
- Table mount kits for fixture tables (angle or flat)
- Flat jaw clamps rated at 200 A, 300 A, or 500 A
- Croc jaw clamps for versatile material contact
- Switchable magnetic clamps (300 A or 500 A) for flat or round stock
- Threaded C-clamps rated up to 600 A
